The August Bank Holiday weekend saw Manchester Pride take over parts of the city for four days.
The action kicked off on Friday evening with Scottish rockers Texas hitting the stage. On Saturday everything really got underway with the Pride Parade. Thousands of spectators crowded the Manchester streets to watch over 100 LGBT groups parade around the city – led by legendary actor Sir Ian McKellen.
Alesha Dixon, DJ Fresh, Atomic Kitten, Union J, Little Boots, Lucy Spraggan and Dannii Minogue appeared on the stage over the weekend and numerous actors and celebrities popped onto the stage to wish attendees a great weekend.
On the Monday there was even a soap face-off as Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks came up against each other in a table tennis tournament!
